Fight Camp Update: UFC 152
It looks like the wait was worth it, what a great event last night! The main card may have dragged a bit at the top end, but the prelims were awesome. Hamill rolled the dice a bit standing in front of Hollett, but he also worked his wrestling and landed takedowns pretty much whenever he wanted to. Bisping put his technical boxing on display as he tagged Stann all night, while mixing in a few takedowns to prevent the judges from robbing him of a well earned decision win. What’s there to ay about Johnson vs Benavidez? They both went out there and gave it their all, with all kinds of strikes and groundwork. I had it even going into the final round, where Johnson landed several quick takedowns which crowned him the first UFC flyweight champion. Jones got a bit of a scare when Vitor latched on to a tight armbar early in the 1st round, but he kept his composure and was able to work his way out. The rest of the fight was Jones working Vitor over with kicks from long range, and in the end, Jones submitted Vitor with a lightning quick americana at the start of the 4th round. Hmm… when’s the last time you saw an americana finished at this level?
Coming in first place with an impressive 85 points, it’s way2swayzee7! Not only does he top the charts for our camp, he came in 6th place on the whole playground, well done sir. RJStCroix captures the 2nd place spot with a big 69 points, followed by dj_yaz in 3rd place with a score of 66. EllisD1 finishes 4th with 61 points, and just a single point behind him is Tripp_2 with 60 to round out the top 5 for this event. Well done guys.
After a disappointing 35 points in our first event of the season, way2swayzee7 came back strong last night, catapulting himself right to the top of the pile with his huge 85 point score for this event! Previous leader Banned2 is bumped down to 2nd place, but he’s only 1 point behind, and he’s sure to be looking for some payback next weekend. Previously in 2nd place, nomomrnicekyle is bumped down to 3rd, but he cut his 6 point deficit in half, now only 3 points behind Banned2. dj_yaz was in 11th place before this event, and now he’s in a great position at 4th place, but to put it into perspective, he’s only 5 points behind the camp leader. Rounding out the top 5 overall is RJStCroix, coming back from a lackluster 1st event, he really made a statement last night. Great job to everyone, as you can see, this thing is extremely close, and anyone could break through into a top spot at any moment.

my goal of just not missing any events is a tough enough job for me lol.
i just realized the other day that ive made almost 1200 picks all together and im still at 57% on the good side. you would think after that many fight picks i would be pro by now lol.
hehe yeah, it’s tough to stay on top of it with so many events these days. Your 57% is probably because you get zeros for the fights you don’t make picks on.
i also lose a good 5-10% per year due to inability pick against certain fighters, Wanderei vs. King Kong – Wand 1st round KO every time lol.
there is some guys who i actually call my friend (most of you know who i mean) that i just wont pick against, and i will never feel bad for losing those bets.
