Sorry for the lateness guys, but I really enjoyed that event – particularly the prelims. John Hathaway was able to keep Maguire guessing the entire fight, using his wrestling both offensively and defensively en route to a clear 30-27 decision victory. Jabouin did a great job of sniping Pickett from long range with those kicks, but as expected, Pickett was able to catch a few of them. In the end, it was Pickett who was able to implement his strategy, getting inside on Jabouin and connecting with a monstrous uppercut late in the first round. A wrestling based strategy locked up the decision victory for Hardy, keeping him undefeated in Nottingham. In the main event, Miocic seemed to be pacing himself out for a 5 round war, refusing to follow up his attack after rocking Struve a few times. This cautious approach gave Struve enough time to gather up some momentum, keeping Miocic right at the end of his punches. By the 2nd round, it was all Struve, and he finished his opponent with some Boetsch-esque uppercuts – marking the first loss of Miocic’s career.

Coming in first place in our camp, it’s machida949 with a big 79 points – nice work! nomomrnicekyle wasn’t impressed, he posts up his own monster score of 76 points. Right behind him at 74, it’s ferdayz, followed by EllisD1 with 70. We have a two way tie for 5th place, between botl435 and dan-o1, they both register a very respectable score of 69 points for this event.

Overall Rankings

Previously in 3rd place, nomomrnicekyle has shot right to the top of the rankings with an excellent score this past Saturday. Former leader way2swayze is bumped down to 2nd place, but he’s only 5 points behind the top spot. Banned2 goes from 2nd to 3rd, and botl435 jumps all the way up from 10th place to settle into the #4 slot. Rounding out the top 5 is EllisD1, previously in 13th place, he make some big headway after this event.
