i wish this had happened 5 minutes after the first interview. this makes it look like Mayhem is back peddling on his “joke” instead of just pulling the old “gotya”.
the whole staying in character is fine but to let it go all this time and then say something. ether you need to reveal right after the interview or not at all.
I agree RJ, doesn’t look good at this point. Sadly, a very small percentage of MMA fans even realized what he was doing in the original interview and just thought he had some kind of meltdown. That’s because of how the MMA media portrays everything to generate headlines. I think he didn’t come forward sooner because he was still waiting for the movie to come out, so he stayed in character. Bad move I guess, but what’s the difference? He’s done in MMA anyways.

Yeah man, I always liked Mayhem, and still do. I just don’t think he put in the work needed to succeed in the UFC. Too many distractions with TV shows, Movies, etc.. Plus he probably wanted to enjoy life a bit instead of living in the gym 7 days a week (which he used to do). It sucks because I really think he had the skills to do well if he could get himself in amazing physical condition. Hope he does well in whatever he decides to do next.
